One of the necessary procedures for lifeboats, rescue boats and davits is their annual inspection. Inspection contains the checking of technical condition of davit and winch with special attention paid to brake and gearbox elements, and if necessary repairs or renewal of parts. During lifeboat service the main part of inspection is release gear. The general condition of lifeboat is checked as well as engine with gearbox and loose equipment.

Due to developed infrastructure and wide specializations of our employees from all departments we are conducting bigger repairs and overhauls in our premises. We are constantly expanding our scope of repairs and for now we can offer: 

• overhauls of winches
• overhauls of lifeboats and rescue boats
• repairs of GRP
• engines service (outboard and inboard)  

Our service engineers conducts overload tests not only for lifeboats and davits with winches but for all types of cranes. In our premises we offer up to 20 tonnes of ballast for cranes (5T + 5T + 10T water bags)  and 3,75 tonnes of ballast to be installed in lifeboat/rescue boat. If necessary we can  arrange almost every amount of ballast which is needed.  

According to SOLAS fall wire on lifeboat, rescue boat and life rafts davits should be renewed every five years. Our service engineers perform fall wires renewal on all types of LSA davits and cranes and on other types of cranes.  

According to 1392 circular, it is required for all vessels which have on-load release mechanisms installed in their lifeboats, not complying with MSC 320(89), to modify or replace for new which fulfil regulations. Time for modification or renewal is determined as first dry dock between 1 July 2014 and 1 July 1019.
